4 ways to hire right people

For any organization hiring the right candidate is the most meticulous job. A company’s success largely depends upon the employees. An organization can only be triumphant if the employees are proficient in their job.
The ways are:

The employee is a different person:
  • You being the owner of the company would definitely expect your employees to work with the same conviction as you do. But one should not forget that the employee is also a human being with different qualities and habits. Each person you meet and interview will be a living, breathing human, with their own lifestyle, gestures and even ideas.

What type of manager are you:
  • There is no doubt that you are a very efficient manager. But you need to introspect as to what type of employee you require. It's imperative that you're honest about your work style. After all, if you say you want a sovereign thinker, but after a lot of 'checking-in' you may end up with a miserable helper.

Determine your time-off policy:
  • Just like you, your team members will need time off - whether to recover from a disease or just to recharge. You have to decide how will you handle these absences? Your time-off policy needs to be recommended so that you know who is on leave today and what can be done to substitute his absence.

Craft a corrective and review process:
  • Whether you need to deal with issues of poor performance, or chronic absenteeism -- have a policy in place before you bring on your first team member. Questions which you can address in this policy are: How many emergency absences are suitable in a given time period? How will you deal with customer complaints and concerns?
